Time Flies
With the blink of an eye, Bulan Ramadan is coming soon.
24th September 2006.
And so i have work in my current company for almost a year. 11 months to be exact.
I remember the day when i first joined the company, 3th October 2005. It was during the holy fasting month for our muslim friends.
I always feel weird and somehow shameful when consuming food infront of our muslim friends during the fasting season.
There they are, fasting for 12 hours a day, depriving themselves from food and water, in the name of their god, to purify themselves of the sins they have made during the past 12 months. And here i am, eating all the delicious food and drinking the ever so chilling ice lemon tea under the hot weather.
It's bad, i think. And to do it infront of them, it's more sinful than watching porn. :-D
And i happen to have a muslim colleague just sitting next to me.
I remember i had to drink my water very quietly and made my action less noticable coz i was feeling awkward drinking water infront of him. That was last year.
This year will be no less.
I am glad in the process of working for this company, i have got myself a few close friends.
They give me laughter during my sad days. Cheered me up when i'm down. Drag themselves for happy hours with me when all they want are to get home and take a nice hot bath and have dinner.
It's good to know you have good friends around you everyday. There's always a shoulder to lean on when u need one.
Sometimes, i even got special treat early in the morning. ^_^
Comes with chopsticks and plastic spoon served with superb chilli paste.
A home cooked mouth watering mee hoon..with lots and lots of ingredients.
Much much appreciation from me for Yumeji's thoughtfulness and her mother.
Don't drool, okay? You don't wanna wet your keyboard and make people stare at you for licking your monitor.
Of course there are many more happy moments along the course of these friendships and i can't write out each and everyone of them. Fortunately, one of the happy moments was here.
Thank you, my friends. ^_^
Love u guys a bunch. Wouldn't trade anything for ya all.
P.S: To Yumeji, Aa Lang, Baby-G, Mr. Six packs, Eng Tau and Uncle Johnny, keep clear of all aliens ahead and stay happy.
