Ticket void

It has been ridiculously stupid of me to overlook the time of my flight destined to kl on Thursday nite. The thursday before last week, 7th August, that is.

Wasn't i unforgivingly stupid??

I bought the tickets during the promotional period and missing my flight means that the ticket is void. Attempts of changes to flight ticket will not be entertained or entertained.

I thought my flight was supposed to leave at 9.40pm. Instead, it was 8.40pm.

By the time i reached the check-in counter, the attendant told me, "Your flight has just departed."

I felt >>> ???????

Waddahek...!?!!?!??

JESUS~!!! Is this really happening, i thought to myself.

Apparently, my name was on the 8.40pm flight list. Not 9.40pm as i thought i was. I forgot that i bought my seat on the 8.40pm flight because all along, there wasn't any 8.40pm before. There was only 9.40pm flights. So i just assumed my flight was at 9.40pm without checking the itinery. Super stupid of me.

I was stunned at the counter. They dun accept penalty charges coz the ticket was a promotional ticket and they don't entertain no-show. OMG..

So, Ni asked the attendant how much was the ticket for the next flight at 9.40pm.

RM451.50

Die...

So how?? To buy or not to buy???

My mind was in a state of chaos. If i didn't buy, even my return ticket would be void, but then, this one way ticket could buy me a return trip from kl a month from now. If i chose not to buy, i would be missing Wayne's wedding registration. So... how??

There was actually no time to consider everything thru. I just have to buy it or else i'll have to call Wayne to tell him i can't made it to his wedding reception in the morning.

Ni saw my super disappointed face and smiled at me. He said "Honey, don't worry. I'll buy the ticket for you. You just need to enjoy your trip."

I looked up at him, remorse showing on my face. Although 450 is not a big amount, but it is money that should have not been spend this way, consequences of my stupidity.

Yep. That's how much Ni paid for my one way ticket to kl. RM451.50. He wanted me to enjoy my trip and not to worry about what my sillyness has done.

Sometimes, i'm really glad i have Ni with me. He's so gentle and caring, but most of the times, he is just so forgetful and careless which is really frustrating.

Anyway, i flew to KL as planned and attended Wayne's mass wedding registration with a couple of hundreds other couples.

Splendid event. An eye opener for me.
