My first nite out in JB.

Pity myself when i'm in JB. Only get to enjoy going out once and that's on the second nite.

I didn't bring my camera along. So all pictures taken were with my handphone.

Actually, almost all of the picture in this kingdom comes from my K750i.

Our first stop. Let me see.... where did we go??

We went to eat dinner at a fren's house coz he wanna get something from home. Got to know him on the first day during my training. At the end of the day, we are all like buddies.

^_^

It's good to know some people like this two guys. Lawrence is from JB but working in kl. Ng is from kl. They drove down all the way from kl to JB to attend the training, afterall, it's compulsory in their company for their own staff to attend. I'm just there as an cast-off. haha....

I tell you, they are the most 'fai chai' (cantonese) u can ever meet. lol
It's really my pleasure to know them.

After dinner, we stop by the ZON coz Ng said he wanted to have a look. The Zon is a building with shopping complex below and hotel located at upper floors. It's actually a tax free outlet. Chocolates, wine, liqour, cigarettes, anything lar.

Then i saw this ...

As the name implies, i guess you can only go in if u can handle it. CAN YOU HANDLE IT?? WE ARE HANDLE-BAR.

Such a stupid name. haha........

Maybe the owner thinks he can handle it.

He even let you have the chance to tell everyone YOU can handle it.

You can see my reflection on the glass panel. ;-D

Then we walk up to the hotel lobby....maybe about 5 floors up. Couldn't remember exactly coz i was busy asking my fren to 'hoi foong' (cantonese:open room) at the hotel. haha....

Cantonese are really funny if you know how to speak. Plus, i watched too many stephen chow's movie already. My mind is all corrupted by his comedy. :-D

The view from the here is very nice. Able to see all the corridors and the coffee house is just right in the centre of everything. Live singing performance and people sitting there enjoying their drink.

But my brother-in-law told me it's very noisy from inside the rooms. All the commotion below is making the hotel guests going crazy while they try their best to get some rest.

Another stupid design...

After that, Lawrence brought us to try out the mee rebus. I never tried that before when i was in kl for 4 years and i didn't plan to do it now. :-D

I think local JB must be damn lazy to think of a name for their shop.

I had a teh tarik and a couple of otak-otak. :-)

Ng said he wanted to go to a place. So after the supper, we headed to the destination.

Danga Bay

A local attraction in JB for tourists. Honestly, i find the place quite nice. I can see singapore from across the water. (i dunno whether it's a river or sea, so just call it water. ;-) )

So blurry...but still can see, rite?

Blocked

The cafeteria area.

A floating restaurant. It must be damn nice to eat there and watch the view from their side. I will img

To promote the place to locals and visitors, the management come up with the idea to bring visitor around in these 'train'. Of course not all of them look as nice.

The train will take you from the centre, heading to the right side of the bay to the festival shopping area or whatever (also forgot liaw), then turn back and use the same route and head back to the left end side of the bay. The whole trip takes only about 10 minutes??

Along the path towards the right end of danga bay.

They have small tents like these among the trees and bamboos. It's really nice.

Further down, there is some stonehenge-lookalike rocks.

This circle of rock resembles a clock.

My photos are all so damn lousy i also dunno what they are showing. -_-"

After that, we headed back to where we parked the car and left for our hotel.

Kinda tired. Almost 11pm by the time we left Danga Bay.

Have to drive about 20minutes before we can reach the hotel..

My first meal in JB

Marrybrown used to be a good place for fastfood beside KFC, McDonalds and Sugarbun in my hometown.

Sugarbun is a local fastfood chain established by sarawakians couple of decades ago. I grew up knowing they had the best chicken burger ever! But after years of business, the food somehow don't hold up to the quality it once offered, and competitors are taking a big chunk of the meat. To survive, they introduced local dishes like meehoon soup, nasi lemak etc into their menu. They were the first to introduced savoury rice and it was a hit.

MarryBrown opened up a branch in miri about a decade ago, but around year 2001 their business was so bad that they had to give it a call and roll the mat.

They were the first to come up with mashed potato and back then, their mashed potato was above all others.

I would say...

McDonald focus on Burgers
Burger king: Burgers
KFC: Fried Chicken
Sugarbun: specialty- savoury rice.
MarryBrown : Nuggets

They have the best nuggets. Chicken, crab, fish, prawn... yum yum~!!
On their menu, you can find a set called seafood platters. Combination of fish, crab and prawn.

My favourite is the PRAWN fingers. It is simply AWESOME. SUPERB~!!!!
Heaven decends everytime i take a bit of it. :-D
If you like prawn as i do, it's worth a try.

You can't find Marrybrown in KL town area, or PJ, even Cheras. It's no where seen.

Back when i was still in college, during every holiday break whenever i'm back to my beloved hometown, i never miss going to Marrybrown for their PRAWN fingers. I always order 2 serving.

Each serving comes with 6 fingers and one serving is never enough.

After Marrybrown close-down in Miri, i had nowhere to go for my crave for PRAWN fingers except ONE place.

It's Genting Highland. They have branches there. Last time they have an outlet just right beside the themepark. Now, they have it inside the new building of First world hotel.

I seldom go to Genting Highland. Needless to say, i never forget my PRAWN finger whenever i go there. ^_^

When i arrived at JB airport, i walk around the building, wondering what to take for dinner.

Then i saw the word MARRYBROWN~!!! It's in the airport. Infact, Marrybrown is everywhere in JB. A friend later told me Marrybrown originated from JB. Good~!!

I ran scurried to the counter, ordered my food and waited patiently. ^o^

Variety design of dining table to suit the Public. Comfortable sofa seats with round table, conventional rectangular 4seater table, round table, side bar table and even swing.

Colorful designs. They have a TV.

I chose the swing of course.

Then my favourite arrived~!!

It's good when one is easily satisfied. :-D
I always self-satisfied.

Ahem...i mean make myself content with what i have. OK??

With my embarassing humongous appetite, just one PRAWN finger wouldn't do the job. To try other stuff, i ordered another meal set.

Main course: fish burger
Nothing Special. Not really nice :-(

Appetizer: French fries
GOOD, with the soft mash-potato like content inside

Side dish: FINGER SUCKING GOOD PRAWN fingers :-D

Once again, heaven decends upon me. I see angels smiling to me. :-D

P.S.: This page is dedicated to my Beloved PRAWN FINGERS

Senai Airport

It's my second time to this airport.

First time was about 2 years ago. Arrived at nite about 10pm, flagged down a taxi, rushed to the JB immigration checkpoint to get to Singapore to check-in at our hotel. By the time we were in our rooms, it was about 11pm or nearing to midnight. Couldn't remember exactly, i was too tired.

To let you all know, i have car-sickness, sea-sickness, worst of all, air-sickness.

Nowadays, when travelling on the roads, i only travel in private cars, either it's my family's, my own or my frens, so puking is not that bad. Because they can always stop at roadside for me when we are half way on a long-distance journey. Thank goodness i'm leaving behind the public transport days.

(If i'm taking a tour package to some other countries, maybe the tour bus will be my problem coz i had the experience before but, until then i'm still fine.)

Next to car, planes will be the second most worrying journey for me. Generation like us travel a lot on airplanes. It's unavoidable since i'm living in an island. I'm always, ALWAYS very exhausted when i travel by air. If possible, i'll sleep through the entire journey and wake up when the pilot announce it's time for landing. ^_^

I slept for 13 hours on a flight last time, and it's NOT good i tell you.

Sea-sickness....hmm... that will come eventually coz i'm working in a field which requires frequent offshore visits. But so far, i haven't got the chance to go out yet.

I'm not afraid of going out, just worry over the conditions i'll suffer onboard the ship and not being able to produce since i'll be too dizzy and puke 24hrs non-stop. I once lost 2kgs, just staying onboard for 4days and it's reported as CALM WEATHER. You can imagine how bad it was for me. What if it was BAD weather?? Swell of 3m?!?!?! I'd jump over board. Believe me, i would.

Back to the topic.

Senai airport is much nicer than i remembered them. Maybe they had a renovation?

It's different from all the other newly renovated airports. Take away the shiny marble floor and walls, the glass panels, the maroon and green colour chairs and fill them with wooden paneled floors, sleek black chairs and white and cream color painted walls.

Nice?? Look like a shopping mall.

Even the glass paneled walls overlooking the airport traffic area are nice. Not green and rectangular but blue-ish with rounded corners. It softens the environment. Airport used to give me cold feelings but this one is nice.

I made a stop to the toilet. And woala~!!

Even the toilet design is nice. White walls, white floors, white basin, everything in white. Of course toilet bowl white also lar.

Plus they put plants on the basin,it softens the environment.

Loo fits for a Queen. lol

That's all the picture i have taken from the airport. I'll update more when i'm back.

P.S.: Currently in singapore at my fren's place. Spend the weekend here coz JB is too boring already and no frens around. I'll be 24hrs in the hotel room if i stay in JB. Will die liddat.

Best car racer in Town

Hello, everyone.

I'm Takumi Fujiwara, aka, the Initial D driver.

Initially, my main aim was just to send tofu to our customer, to a hotel on Mt. Akina. My dad previously was the one making the deliveries but since he has to take care of the tofu shop and make tofu, he no longer make deliveries.

As u might have known i have won numerous races on Japan's Gunma Prefecture. After years of challenges, i no longer find any competitive challenger in my country.

Reluctantly, I have to moved out of my beloved country to seek drivers with superb driving skill.

Now, I'm in Malaysia. In the oil town of the state of hornbills.

I am calling for all professional racing drivers in this state to come and challenge me.

I shall be waiting on Canada hill every Wednesday.

If you DARE, come challenge me.

I have delivered my car all the way from Japan.

I shall be waiting for you.

( Her Majesty welcome Initial D to her kingdom. lol)

Oh my, What is this?

Today, i came across a piece of news on Yahoo!.

The heading caught my eyes.

A place to despair: Kidnapped Austrian teen speaks out after 8 years held in a cell.

How catchy is that?

A girl was abducted on the street 8 years ago. She was 10 yrs old then. Now, she 18. Her name is Natascha Kampusch.

According to the story, she was encaged in a "windowless cell in the dingy basement " for 8 years.

Her captor,Priklopil, kept her with him under the basement for 8 freaking years!!!

What was he thinking??

If he wanted a daughter, he can just go and have sex with some anonymous ladies, fucking make them pregnant and choose any daughter to his liking among the kids.

Well, that's such a cruel thing to say from me. :-Þ

If everybody does as what i say, i would be some kid who don't have a father coz he choose his other daughter over me. The world will be full with orphans. And single parents.

Or if he wanted a lady in the house, just get attached. Wouldn't that be easier??

This guy is really crazy. Kidnapping other people's child and raise them in a cage. Buying the girl clothes (she grow from a kid to an adult, u know) , feed her, bring her shopping?!?!?!? My goddess.

" she once struggled in vain to make eye contact with people when her captor took her shopping "

I think kids who got kidnapped like that surely go nuts one. They might suffer from schizophrenia. Hallucination is definite.

And after years of being held captive, i think she really is nuts.

" she regretted that Priklopil committed suicide "because he could have explained so much more to me and to the police" "

What is she talking about?

Does anybody in a sane manner will say such thing if they were being held captive in a windowless cell for eight years???

" she did not feel she missed out on much during her years as a prisoner, and she said she "mourned in a certain way"for Priklopil "

Well, i think she liked him.

Just that they are both too crazy to realise AND admit it. You won't go to the press and tell them that you fell in love with your 8-years-kidnapper, rite?

People will send her to mental institution before she can say another word.

Between, Natasha might even had a relationship going on with him.

" ORF said Kampusch had decided which questions to answer and had refused to be asked anything intimate. Police have said she may have had sexual contact with her captor, but have refused to elaborate. "

Maybe that's a whole new way of getting yourself free woman and free sex in this era.

What would you have felt and said if you were her, after being held captive for 8 freaking years??

Would you have said the same thing?

Our world is really getting crazy and crazier each day.

P.S.: My mind did an amazing thing just now. I almost fucked up my work becuse i forgot to call a guy for some confirmation today. Everything is in office and i'm at home now. Miraculously, my mind recalled back the mobile number, although i just came across it ONCE yesterday afternoon. I get to call the guy and put everything back in order for tomorrow. :-D

My Cameronian Day.

This will be the post for the entire trip in cameron highland.

To document everything so i can recall happy moments when i read this back.

Early morning, August 6th 2006, we woke up at 7 something to get ready to go to Pudu Raya Bus station. According to them, the bus leaves at 9am.

Didn't get to buy bus tickets the day before coz i was too eager to go Wan Utama shopping. :-D

Well, the experience with the ticket seller wasn't that pleasant so i'm not gonna write that down. Wanna keep this entry happy happy. ^_^

On our way to CAMERON HIGHLAND~!! Here I come CAMERON~!!
Bus ticket RM25.

All angmos get to sitting in front. All locals sit behind. You see the empty seats infront of me. Those are vacant. I overheard the bus conductor walkie talkie to the ticket counter informing them of the empty seats. I bought my tickets early so why am i seated at the back row of the bus?? In fact, we were given the furthest seats down the aisle, the last 2 rows. Kanasai.......Damn the ticket seller. One of the pissing moments of the trip.

Some of the landscape along the way...

I noticed the main electrical cable from TNB to the kampung houses along the road are extremely low. They don't have a decent metal post/frame to support the cable. Most of the time, it just hung loosely on some wooden stick which looked like they were put up by the villagers themselves. If you reach up, you can actually pull down the cable yourself. Of course, you'll get electrocuted then. ;-)

low enough for ya? Cables seemed tangled and those plants LOVE cables very much.

Going up hill and up and up.....

Then finally, after 4 agonising hours in the bus, i finally reached CAMERON HIGHLAND~!! 1pm

This is the place we stayed for the nite. Twin Pines. RM30 for a room of 2. RM55, a room for 3. All with Bathrooms. :-)

This is a budget trip to Cameron, not some luxurious stay okay?

Usually when i plan a trip, i put emphasis on food, entertainment and shopping. Accommodation wise, as long as there's a clean room and bed, i'm fine with it.

I called before we went to this place and the lady was sitting there reading newspaper when we arrived.

After checking in, we went for our first Cameronian Lunch. ^_^

It was kinda late by the time we finished our lunch. Around 3pm. :-(

All the tours start at 1pm to 1.30pm. So we went to the Tourist Centre in town for ideas of how to go around sight-seeing.

There is a SUPER DUPER sweet and kind lady behind the counter, i tell you.

All the people working behind a service counter should all learn from her. Not only she's informative. She's really polite and efficient.

After a phone call, Woala~!!! She arranged a private tour for us~!!! For only RM25 each pax!!! and we can go anywhere we want!!! :-D

We were so lucky to have her there. She even solved our problem for the return tickets to KL.

Apparently, all the tickets to kl the next morning was sold out~!!! How unlucky of us. Stupid of me for not buying it together with the KL-Cameron tickets.

While waiting for the tour guide to arrive, i took a few shots.

I have dark under eyes circles in all my photos so i'm not gonna post a lot of my prestigious self. ^_^

Finally, the our tour guide came, driving a van. :-D

First Stop. Strawberry Farm.

Kinda disappointed when i found out they culture strawberry like this.

Took only 2 shots. Nothing interesting there.

Just next to the strawberry park, in a shop, we bought strawberry ice-cream for only RM1. It's simply DELICIOUS~!!!

Next Stop. Boh Tea Plantation.

The tea plantation is having some kind of 'maintenance season' for their 'tea tree' when we were there. According to our tour guide, the name's Resh??, the plantation management 'trim' their trees once in every 3 yrs to keep their 'tea tree' in good short manner. Else wise, it'll be as tall as 2m or maybe more??

Yellowing bushes due to cut branches and leaves.

Luckily they are doing it only to certain parts of the plantation.

So i could still see the beautiful breath taking view of cameron highland. (My whole purpose of the trip)

Well, we missed the official Boh Tea Factory Tour. It was closed when we got there. 4.30pm. :-(

But... we had OUR OWN PRIVATE TOUR OF THE FACTORY. Muahaha~~!!!!

Thanks to Resh. He certainly can pull a few strings. ;-)

So the plucked tea leaves is put onto the the conveyor belt which moves up, feeding the leaves into the machine from the top.

The processed tea leaves will come out from the bottom of the machine, onto another conveyor belt which looks like a drain, to me.

This conveyor belt connects to another room by a small opening on the wall....

In the other room, let's see......

There.....see the small opening on the wall?

So it goes onto yet another converyor belt...

And up it goes again...

This time i dunno what this 'thing' (machine?/tank?) is for...but it's the final process coz the indian lady is packing up the tea leaves into big bags from the bottom.

Lots and lots of tea....

I figured that there must be a few more process after this one. Well, they don't sell tea BAGs like that, do they?

And this was where we were at......

My face look horrifying.. doesn't matter lar.

I look kinda like a model advertising for the tea plantation with my posture.

Maybe they should pay me for standing there, posing liddat for them advertisement, don't cha think? lol...
